Laelle (Pronounced: Lay-Elle) Ruth Hill

The name Laelle is of Hebrew origin and means “one who belongs to God.” The name Ruth is also of Hebrew origin, meaning “compassionate friend.” Ruth is a story in the Bible about a beautiful widowed woman who is loyal and devoted.

Our daughter, who started making her way into the world a bit early at 38 weeks and 5 days, was born at 11:00 PM on 12/11/2024 and arrived on 12/12/2024 at approximately 2:36 PM, weighing 7 lbs 11 oz and measuring 20.5 inches.

She has been given this name because she is our special gift from God. She is our little girl here on earth because God has graciously entrusted us with the stewardship of this sweet one’s heart, and we know that she ultimately belongs to Him—His treasure, His precious daughter. She will be raised by the radical love of God, knowing the truth of God and the love of her parents—love that teaches her to be a good and compassionate friend.

We pray that she knows her security, identity, belonging, competence, and life purpose all belong to God. This is our prayer for our sweet baby girl.

Psalm 51:10: “As she grows up, Father, create in her a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within her.”
